The Programmable Integrated Sensors and Microsystems (PRISM) Lab in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Alberta is inviting applications for outstanding PhD and Master’s students starting in July 2025. The project aims to develop advanced microfabrication processes for flexible sensors and liquid metal microfluidic systems.
Work Environment
Led by Dr. Pegah Pezeshkpour, the PRISM Lab conducts interdisciplinary research that combines engineering and materials science. The focus is on creating scalable and adaptable microsystems using innovative microfabrication techniques and new materials. These systems are designed for applications in health, energy monitoring, and assistive technologies. Lab members benefit from access to cutting-edge fabrication, testing, and characterization facilities in a collaborative research setting.
