Here is the latest job opportunity at Telecel Ghana. Telecel Ghana is seeking for Account Manager- Public Sector to drive new business and grow allotted accounts for organisation.
Role Purpose
Drive new business and grow allotted accounts by creating strategic account plans and building strong client relationships. Meet and exceed quarterly acquisition and revenue targets, while boosting profitability and ensuring high customer satisfaction.
Key accountabilities and decision ownership
- Identify and close business opportunities in new and allotted public sector accounts.
- Build and maintain a qualified pipeline of prospects. Use a consultative/ solution selling approach to manage the decision-making process and close deals.
- Develop contact strategies and account development plans (ADP) for each of the allocated accounts.
- Engage with C-level executives at industry shows and other platforms to build professional network.
- Provide account data to the Sales Manager for developing a sales plan and monitoring its implementation.
- Identify sales training and development needs and management skills enhancement for self and the virtual account team.
- Full integration of quality management processes within all sales activities for the allocated accounts, ensuring effective deployment on a day-to-day basis.
- Use relevant metrics and measures to routinely monitor progress against targets and take appropriate action to ensure targets are met or exceeded.
- Ensure full compliance with telecommunications license provisions, sector regulations and competition laws.

Core competencies, knowledge, and experience
- 3 years’ experience of sales /account management in an enterprise solution (preferably in Telecoms)
- Consultative-based selling skills
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, Information Technology or related fields. MBA/MSC/CIM qualification is an added advantage.
- The ability to identify new business opportunities and understand a client’s business objectives to provide tailored solutions.
