DEPARTMENT OF KINESIOLOGY RECREATION & SPORT STUDIES

Dr Chad Wagoner is seeking a highly motivated doctoral student for Fall 2026 in the Department of Kinesiology, Recreation, and Sport Studies (KRSS) at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Dr. Wagoner is the co-director of the Collaborative innovation for Research in Community-Based Lifestyle Engagement (CIRCLE) lab. The CIRCLE lab conducts community-engaged physical activity, nutrition, and public health research in partnership with River Valley Health (RVH), a community-based primary care organization in Eastern Tennessee.

Applicants need a Master’s degree in kinesiology or a related field with a GPA meeting program standards. Desired qualifications include research experience in exercise physiology or related areas, teaching experience, and skills like time management and analytical thinking.
