KNUST STUDENT CROSSING THE ROAD
While official invitations will specify exact arrangements, here is an overview of what candidates can generally expect based on past examinations and interviews.
The entrance examination is typically scheduled within a week of the release of WAEC results. Candidates are expected to report early, usually around 7:00 am, with exams running from 8:00 am to 11:00 am. The examination generally consists of 100 multiple-choice questions covering subjects such as Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, and Verbal/Quantitative Reasoning. Applicants are advised to bring two HB pencils, two pens, one eraser, a scientific calculator, valid identity cards, and two passport-sized photographs. Mobile phones and wristwatches are not allowed in the exam hall.
Following the written exam, shortlisted candidates are invited for interviews, commonly held from 12:00 noon to 3:00 pm on the same day. Each candidate usually engages with the interview panel for 10–15 minutes and is expected to dress formally.
The examination and interview are conducted at a fee, which the school will communicate to candidates, and applicants are advised to prepare for payment in advance. For those needing accommodation, options are often available at hostels on campus, and candidates should make reservations ahead of time.
The university emphasized that the admission process does not involve agents, middlemen, or agencies, and that all admissions are strictly merit-based.
