Job Description
- Location: Accra, Ghana

About the Role
As Country Director, you will lead MSI’s operations in Ghana, delivering measurable results for women and their families. You will drive programmatic excellence, implement best practices at scale, and ensure our social business model is both impactful and commercially sustainable.
You will be responsible for the overall strategy, management, and implementation of MSI’s priorities in Ghana, leading a skilled team to deliver life-saving services through our centres, social marketing, and public sector partnerships.
Required Skills / Experience
- Proven experience developing and implementing business plans and growth strategies, with a track record of aligning resources to key priorities, keeping teams focused on critical milestones, and consistently achieving results.
- Private sector experience in hospitals, clinics, social marketing, broader marketing, or commercial operations, with the ability to apply commercial acumen and entrepreneurial thinking to drive sustainable growth and impact.
- Demonstrated leadership in both social and commercial environments, with a reputation for ‘making things happen’, operating at pace, and delivering effectively through others.
- Experience navigating complex issues and conveying an inspiring vision and purpose across diverse teams and business functions.
- Strong understanding of major policies and issues of large bilateral/multilateral donors, and a solid working knowledge of business practices.
- Internationally minded, with empathy for the development sector and an appreciation for cultural differences.
- Experience leading a social business, preferably in a developing country.
- Experience formulating and controlling budgets to ensure effective monitoring and financial sustainability.
- Understanding of the issues surrounding the provision of reproductive health care services internationally.
- Excellent interpersonal, project management, and problem solving skills.
