Sherise Technology Empowerment Programme, a not—for-profit organization committed to uplifting women in underserved communities, is seeking to hire Grants & Partnerships Officer.

ABOUT SHERISE TECHNOLOGY EMPOWERMENT PROGRAMME
Sherise is a women-led NGO empowering female entrepreneurs across Accra and its suburbs. Our newly furnished office hosts co-working, training, and community events. We’re looking for a warm, driven, and resourceful individual to bring our space to life, grow membership, and coordinate community-driven events.
JOB PURPOSE
This position involves identifying grant opportunities, cultivating donor relationships, and overseeing the full lifecycle of grants—from proposal development to post-award compliance and reporting.
The Grants and Partnerships Officer is responsible for fostering strategic partnerships that enhance program delivery and organizational visibility.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Grants Development & Fundraising
- Identify and track grant opportunities from foundations, bilateral/multilateral donors, CSR arms of company, and philanthropic institutions.
- Write compelling concept notes, LOIs, and full proposals tailored to funders’ requirements.
- Maintain a grant calendar with deadlines for proposals, reports, and renewals.
Partnership Development
- Map and initiate contact with CSR-focused corporations and donor institutions aligned with Sherise’s mission.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with partners and potential funders.
- Develop partnership decks and pitch materials.
Grant Management & Reporting
- Support financial and narrative reporting for secured grants.
- Liaise with internal staff to gather project data for reporting purposes.
- Ensure donor compliance and coordinate grant deliverables.
Strategic Contribution
- Advise on revenue diversification strategy aligned with Sherise’s programmatic goals.
- Co-develop a grant and partnership strategy for 2025–2026.
Required Skills or Experience
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Bachelor’s degree in International Development, Social Sciences, Communications, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in fundraising, grant writing, or partnership development.
- Strong communication and writing skills in English.
- Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills; warm and approachable.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Proven track record of successful grant proposals and donor engagement.
- Knowledge of development issues, particularly gender, entrepreneurship, and digital inclusion, is a plus.
- Comfortable working independently in a startup-like NGO environment.
