Job Purpose
To ensure effective and efficient human resource management practices in the company
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in determining the human resource requirements of the company and make necessary arrangements to meet them
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of HR information system in the company
- Participate in the implementation of HR policies, plans and strategies
- Provide technical support on operational, administrative and HR management procedures/systems
- Assist in coordinating the selection, hiring and recruitment process
- Prepare training plan by collaborating with Line Managers to identify specific departmental needs
- Assist in developing, implementing and evaluating training programmes to address staff performance gaps
- Contribute to the establishment of robust systems and processes to manage the onboarding processes
- Support in managing a performance appraisal system that drives high performance
- Provide career guidance and counselling services to staff
- Assist in maintaining employee records according to policy and legal requirements.
- Assist in coordinating staff welfare, health and safety matters
Qualification Required & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field. A Master’s degree or professional HR certificate (e.g. CIHRM, SHRM, CIPD, PHR) is an advantage
- Minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in HR management preferably in the private sector
- In-depth knowledge of the Labour Law in Ghana and HR best practices
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems
