Position Summary
The Quantity Surveyor manages all financial aspects of construction projects, including cost estimation, contract administration, and resource optimization, ensuring projects are delivered within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and financial plans.
- Monitor and control project expenditures.
- Evaluate and negotiate contracts with contractors and suppliers.
- Conduct value engineering and cost analysis.
- Ensure compliance with legal, contractual, and company requirements.
- Maintain accurate financial documentation and reports.
- Provide advice on procurement strategies and cost-saving measures
Required Skills or Experience
Qualifications & Experience
- BSc. Quantity Surveying OR BSc. Building Technology.
- Professional membership in relevant body.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in construction cost management.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of construction costs, contracts, and procurement.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in cost estimation software and tools.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
