EXPRESSION OF INTEREST
Evaluation of the Young Urban Women (YUW) Project
ActionAid Ghana seeks the services of a consultant to assess the impact, effectiveness, efficiency, sustainability, and relevance of YUWP Phase III
The Young Urban Women’s Project (YUWP) is a feminist initiative by ActionAid young women in urban and peri-urban areas to assert their economic rights, bodily autonomy, and leadership. The project is funded by the Hewlett Foundation. Now in its third phase (2023–2026), the project builds on lessons from previous phases while sharpening its focus on movement-building, youth-led advocacy, and systems change.
Objectives
The main objective of this evaluation is to assess the impact, effectiveness, efficiency, sustainability, and relevance of YUWP Phase III. It aims to generate lessons and recommendations for future program development and funding proposals.
Scope of Work
The selected consultant will be expected to conduct the project evaluation survey within the following scope of work:
- Design an evaluation framework using feminist and participatory methods.
- Conduct desk reviews and stakeholder consultations.
- Facilitate focus group discussions and participatory outcome harvesting.
- Analyse data and validate findings with youth movement actors and stakeholders.
- Prepare a final report including strategic recommendations for the next phase.
How To Apply
Deliverables
The successful consultant is expected to submit the following deliverables:
- Hold inception meeting with AAG team and submit report with methodology, work plan, and data collection tools for review within two (2) weeks upon contract signing.
- Undertake field data collection and submit the Draft Evaluation Report within the next four (4) weeks.
- Share a Youth-friendly Learning Brief
- Submit Final Report with annexes within one (1) week upon receipt of feedback from AAG on the draft report
- Also share Raw data files, transcripts, recordings, and documentation
- Presentation slide deck for dissemination
