2025 China-Link Scholarship Program of Wuhan University

To promote academic friendship and understanding among young people from China and around the world, the China Scholarship Council (CSC) has launched the ‘China Link’ program. This initiative offers short-term scholarships for scientific research exchanges, creating a platform for young researchers to connect globally.

I?Program Scheme

1. Categories

l General scholar: applicable to current undergraduates or master students.

l Senior scholar: applicable to current Ph.D students or faculties.

2. Duration

l 1-12 months. The start time of studying in China shall be no later than August 31, 2026.

3. Teaching Language

l English or Chinese

4. Fields

l No restrictions on majors other than Chinese language study. More information on majors can be found at https://admission.whu.edu.cn/.

The Scholarship Program

The application deadline for this scholarship is 20th December 2025. The University of Wuhan in China encourages interested individuals to apply for the postgraduate scholarship.

Benefits of China-Link Scholarship Program

Full scholarship funding will be provided, including tuition fees, on-campus accommodation fees, comprehensive medical insurance and monthly stipend (3,000 RMB for general scholars and 3,500 RMB for senior scholars).

Criteria for the China-Link Scholarship Program Qualification

1. Be a citizen of non-Chinese nationality, with excellent academic and moral qualities, and be in good health, both mentally and physically.

2. Be under 45 years of age when applying for general scholars. Be under 50 years of age when applying for senior scholars.

3. During the application and participation in the program, applicants must be full-time students or faculty members at CSC’s foreign partner universities. For a list of CSC’s foreign partner universities, please refer to Attachment I.

Interview date, Process and Venue for China-Link Scholarship Program

1. Log in to the online application system of Wuhan University (http://fses-admin.whu.edu.cn) and submit your application, selecting “Chinese Government Scholarship” for the program and applying as “General Scholar” if you are current undergraduates or postgraduates; applying “Senior Scholar” if you are current Ph.D candidate or faculties. After completing the application, please send the application number to yquan@whu.edu.cn.

2. After a comprehensive assessment, Wuhan University  will determine the list of recommended candidates and issue pre-admission notices for the recommended candidates.

3. Applicants who have received the pre-admission materials from Wuhan University  must log in to the CSC online application system (https://studyinchina.csc.edu.cn/#/login) to complete the application. The CSC application guide can be found in Attachment II. The Agency No. for Wuhan University is 10486.

4. The pre-admitted students will be recommended to CSC in batches before  January 15, 2026.

5. After CSC notifies scholarship admission results in batches to Wuhan University, Wuhan University will notify scholarship admission results to applicants.
