Electoral Commission Nationwide Recruitment of Temporary Electoral Officials for Election 2024.

The Electoral Commission of Ghana wishes to inform the General Public that as part of the preparations towards the conduct of the 2024 Presidential and Parliamentary Elections, it is receiving applications from interested persons for the following positions:

• Registration Officers.
• Exhibition Officers.
• Presiding Officers
• Registration Assistants (Data Entry Clerks, Lamination Officers)
• Exhibit Assistants
• Polling Assistants: (Verification Officers, Ballot Issuers, and Name Reference List Officers).

Duration of Engagement

Successful applicants will be engaged in all three (3) major activities of the Electoral Commission’s actions scheduled for 2024 include the Voter Registration Exercise, the Exhibition of Voters Register, and the General Election.

The deadline for submitting applications is Monday, April 29, 2024.

Qualification Requirements:

• The minimal academic qualification for Registration Officer, Exhibition Officer, and Presiding Officer is a First Degree.
• The minimal academic qualification for Registration Assistant, Exhibition Assistant, and Polling Assistant is HND, Teacher Cert “A”, Diploma, or equivalent.
• An appreciable knowledge of elections and the terrain in which the applicant
• Wishes to work will be advantageous.
• Aside from academic qualifications, applicants are expected to exhibit the following technical and personal skills.

Technical competence

• Quantitative and analytical skills
• A good working experience in collating data, figures, etc.

• Physical and mental alertness.
• Firm and fair in character.

• A good knowledge of the terrain where the applicant wishes to work.
