Project Manager – Coconut Waste Project

Project Manager – Coconut Waste Project. To accelerate development in Africa, the non-profit organization CERATH Development Organization (CDO) was founded. CDO’s five core intervention areas are implemented in the countries of Ghana, Liberia, Sierra Leone, and Kenya. These intervention areas are (I) Agriculture (II) Fisheries (III) Renewable Energy, (IV)Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH) (V) Inclusive Finance.

About COWAP

Project goals include establishing a green-circular economy in the La Nkwantanang – Madina Municipality and providing residents with new ways to make a living by adding value to waste coconut husks. COWAP is in its second year of implementation and is co-founded by the European Union (EU). The COWAP partnership consists of the Center for International Forestry Research (CIFR), the La Nkwantanang – Madina Municipal Assembly, and the Tree Crops Center.

Job Summary

In the two years since its launch, COWAP has achieved remarkable strides. Project business cases are now being implemented. In December of 2022, a processing factory for coconut waste will open as the first business case.

In the second scenario, a company will begin collecting and selling coconut trash in time for the holiday season in 2022. These company scenarios exist in a vacuum, each requiring their own management approaches. In light of these, CDO is looking to appoint a project manager to steer the project through its current “agribusiness phase”.
