Job Description
Location: Tamale (for Northern Region operations)
Purpose
- Assists in overseeing the implementation of VisionFund Ghana (VFG) Risk Management framework while ensuring strict compliance with regulatory requirements, internal standards, policies and procedures.
- The role is to ensure that VFG has internal controls that adequately measure and manage current and future risk.
Major Responsibilities and Duties
- Conduct periodic internal reviews or audits to ensure that compliance procedures are followed by all branches.
- Conduct internal investigation of compliance issues.
- Assist in the assessment of product, compliance, or operational risks and develop risk management strategies for all branches.
- Report violations of compliance or regulatory standards to the Risk and compliance manager for appropriate action.
- Assist in planning, designing and implementing an overall risk management process for the organization;
- Risk assessment, which involves analyzing risks as well as identifying, describing and estimating the top ten (10) risks affecting branches.
- Risk evaluation, which involves comparing estimated risks with criteria established by the organization such as costs, legal requirements and environmental factors, and evaluating the organization’s previous handling of risks;
- Maintain a Risk register for all branches.
- Prepare periodic reports on the management of Assets and Liabilities of branches to (ALCO).
- Assist in Implementing the Disaster Risk Plan (DRP)
- Compile periodic reports to the Risk and Compliance Manager
- Any other duties assigned by management.
