FIFA World Cup 2022: Tunisia to be replaced by Mali in Qatar 2022.
Mali will take Tunisia’s position at the Qatar 2022 World Cup. If the Tunisian squad is suspended, the Mali national team might compete in the World Cup at Tunisia’s expense, according to a FIFA statement.
Why will Tunisia be replaced by Mali in Qatar 2022?
The declaration comes after Tunisia’s Minister of Youth and Sports, Kamel Deguiche, made a suggestion that the “Federal Bureaux” should be abolished.
The world football regulating organisation views the Tunisian government’s comment as interfering with domestic football.

As a result, FIFA has requested that the country respond to the minister’s statement with clarification as soon as possible, failing which they risk incurring a fine and missing this year’s World Cup. All of these possibilities have, in essence, been sparked by the Tunisian government’s involvement in the country’s football administration.
This will be Tunisia’s sixth appearance at the World Cup assuming it is not disqualified from the competition. But if Tunisia takes the aforementioned penalty, Mali will be playing in his first World Cup.
