How to Request a Fee Refund From KNUST Administration

The beginning of a new academic year is marked by the payment of KNUST students’ tuition and housing (residential) expenses.

The majority of students receive financial aid from their parents or guardians, but some are also supported by nonprofit organisations, for-profit corporations, government agencies, religious organizations, and institutes through scholarships.

Those who are lucky enough to earn scholarships after paying their academic fees can request a refund of the excess amount.

All students who overpay their academic year fees have the option of requesting a refund.

However, a refund will be issued to the person or organisation that paid the fee utilising the following processes to receive a return of excess fees paid.

How To Request For Fees Refund From KNUST Administration

  1. Write a refund letter: The letter should be addressed to The Finance Officer. A sample of the letter is available below.
  2. Send the letter to the Finance Office at the Main Administration block.

NOTE: The letter should state your desired bank account to which the refund should be deposited. The refund is not subject to a set deadline for processing. The amount of time it takes to process a large number of refund letters varies.
