Job Description
- Time: 16 hours per week, part-time remote working
- Reporting to: Education/Research Manager & Head of Operations
About this role
This part-time role will involve the development and delivery of the leadership strand (one of 5 strands) of our Ignite Programme launched in 2023, which is vital to the success of the EduSpots model. You will be working with our Regional Coordinators and Head of Operations to identify key needs across our network of 50 Spots, and develop a leadership programme that builds the capacity of our 250+ volunteers to drive forward strategies relating to those needs.
We are looking for an entrepreneurial and creative individual, with a passion for leadership, and a broad understanding of themes across team building, community engagement, safeguarding, communication, fundraising and social entrepreneurship, to empower Spot volunteers to lead change at their Spots, whilst growing as leaders themselves.

This inspiring and energizing leader would manage our leadership hub for volunteers on WhatsApp, organizing monthly zoom sessions with guest speakers, and offering an engaging range of leadership related resources and discussions on the platform.
- To oversee the curriculum development and programme delivery of the Spot Leadership strand of Ignite, working closely with regional coordinators in this process.
- To oversee the organization of a monthly zoom session on Spot leadership, including invitations to expert guest speakers relevant to the topics.
- To create engaging and innovative monthly challenges relating to Spot leadership, after identifying needs from the Regional Coordinators team.
- To manage the overall challenge marking, scoring, leadership points, and certification process, working with the regional coordinators to give feedback.
- To oversee the WhatsApp strand engagement (working with regional coordinators) to ensure the development of core leadership skills and building a strong community around leadership development.
- To work with the Head of Operations and the regional coordinators team to develop educational resources needed relating to grants, safeguarding, information collection and other areas.

- To support the delivery of the Catalyse Leadership Programme, particularly in relation to the educational content, working with the Programmes Manager and Education & Research Manager on the Catalyse Project Design and delivery.
- To oversee the monitoring and evaluation of the Spot leadership strand working with all stakeholders.
- To provide regular information and stories on the Spot leadership strand for funding applications and wider communications.
- To ensure the child protection and safeguarding policies are followed at all times by all involved in the Spot leadership programmes.

Required Skills or Experience
Knowledge & Experience
- Experience in education resource design and programme development and management (in supporting or leadership role)
- A strong training facilitator, with the ability to model outstanding pedagogy and inspire volunteers and staff members.
- Experience in online educational delivery of various forms.
- Experience of managing platforms such as WhatsApp and building a sense of community online.
- Experience of working with volunteers to drive educational change.
- Experience of home-based, online working

Personal Qualities & Skills
- An infectious passion for leadership development, and skills and understanding across social entrepreneurship, community engagement and development, team-building, communication and broader education.
- An ability to inspire and engage via online platforms such as WhatsApp and Zoom, with strong skills in network management and engagement.
- Good design skills and ability to create Canva designs to effectively communicate to volunteers.
- Strong IT knowledge and skills, including use of google suite
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work to maintain a high standard of performance with minimum supervision.
- A team player with a belief in the value of collaborative approaches to learning.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire.
