The West Africa Regional Marketing Specialist position at the USAGM West Africa Regional Office at the Embassy in Accra is open to eligible and qualified candidates.
Duties:
The incumbent is a media market expert responsible for the marketing & placement of USAGM (United State Agency for Global Media) programs on local broadcasting stations and digital platforms throughout West and Central Africa, as well as clients management.
This includes approximately 30 contracts valued more than $500,000. Working under the supervision of the Regional Marketing Officer, incumbent is a subject matter expert (SME) on media trends in the region, plus geo-political and social culture; liaises directly with high-level executives including government officials and CEOs (Chief Executive Officer) in placing USAGM content; oversees all USAGM contracts as a Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR); manage a range of promotional and marketing assets and activities; produces and gives marketing sales presentations; organizes special events and trainings; works on satellite distribution installation and repair requests; maintains close contacts with USAGM staff in Washington and around the world.
The incumbent works closely with USAGM regional contractors who assist the CORs with affiliate and affiliate monitoring contract management.

Qualifications and Evaluations
Requirements:
Experience:
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience working in media, communication, and/or Project Management, marketing business, or marketing organization is required.
Education Requirements:
Mandatory:
- Completion of bachelor’s degree in business administration, Communication or Marketing is required.
